Home advantage was amply demonstrated this week in the Breckland League as four of this week’s five matches finished in 10-0 maximum home wins while the remaining match produced a 7-3 home win. Leaders Wymondham are expected to gain all ten points at home and once again they won all four games against visitors Connaught “A.” Billie Barker, Laura Hawksworth & Jon Sparham top scored winning by 30-4 while AJ Brown’s triple won 27-8, Chris Mann’s triple won 22-12 and Jack Pye’s triple won by 17-8. Two days later Connaught “A” themselves gained ten maximum points at home to Shropham with David Aldous, Richard Broad & Paul McDonald winning 22-7. Carleton Rode’s David Kerslake, Graham Mobbs & Neil Davidson won 20-4 as they beat visitors Hingham 10-0. Forncett won 10-0 at home to Harling Griffins with Phil Watson, Nigel Youngman & Paul Lovett winning 22-9. Thetford’s Clive Eke, Kacy Suffolk & Peter Harvey ran out 28-4 winners as their team beat Harling Unicorns 7-3. Coastal Cup action saw Bradwell Dynamos reel off their sixth win in a row to move twenty-five points clear of second placed Gorleston Blue. Bradwell Dynamos 14-4 away win at Bradwell Robins also stretched Robins run of defeats to five in a row. After winning their opening four games Gorleston Blue will be disappointed with their 12-6 home defeat against Woodbastwick Owls. In the Friendly Afternoon League Thetford head the table after an 8-2 away win at Banham where Neil Thomas’s triple won 18-5. Second placed Diss won 9-1 at home to Hingham with David Kerslake, Graham Mobbs & Terry Newby winning 24-3.
