Session three added to Dorset’s woes with both Norfolk pairs winning again. Jack Marshall & Chris Willies completed their successful day with an 18-6 win while Debs Sparham & Jack Pye completed a whitewash for Norfolk in the pairs with a 17-12 win. Ryan Fox won his singles game by 14-12 but Alex Kley proved to be the thorn in the flesh again winning his singles game by 14-10 against Wymondham’s Chris Mann. Norfolk knew that the trophy was on its way back to Norfolk now as the last session was played out with Neil Davidson, Morgan Warnes & AJ Brown winning 19-6 and Kacy Suffolk, Gavin Gary, Keith Cooke & Jon Sparham winning 10-8 in the fours. Dorset won the remaining two games with Sid Burton, Simon Willies & Jason Woods losing 16-10 and Jack Gray, Chloe Suffolk, David Lamb & Gary Best going down by just 10-9 but Norfolk were more than ready to celebrate their third I.C.C Premier title win. Player-Manager Jack Pye, who has been in tremendous form all season, was delighted to lift the trophy which Norfolk previously won in 1996 under George Clarke and in 2016 under Selwyn Goldsmith. He and the team can now look forward to representing England against the champions of Ireland and Wales in Northern Ireland next season.
