Bradwell Dynamos in prime position

Bradwell Dynamos put themselves in prime position to win the Coastal League title as they won 12-6 away to Gorleston Links Red. This result left them top of the table and twelve points clear of local rivals Bradwell Acorns. Bob Carter entertained near neighbours Thorpe Marriott for the first leg of their Bure Cup Semi-Final clash and crushed the understrength visitors by 24-0 on points, 172-10 on shots. Alfie Woods, Morgan Warnes & AJ Brown won their games by 14-0, 15-2 & 16-0. Gavin Gray, Melvin Woods & Gary Best won by 14-3, 15-1 & 18-0. Debbie Pye, Simon Warnes & Jack Pye won 22-0, 8-0 & 10-2 while Jean Woods, Nigel Willard & Jason Woods won 14-0, 13-1 & 13-1. Thorpe Marriott conceded the second leg. Bob Carter will now meet the winners of the Hevingham v Halvergate Semi-Final in the Bure Cup Final. In the Breckland League Connaught “B” suffered their sixth defeat on the trot going down by 8-2 at home to Harling Unicorns. Rosie Beckford, June Kendall & Ian Beckford top-scored for the visitors winning 20-5. Hingham won 8-2 on points at home to Shropham but by only three shots overall after Shropham’s Pat Godbold, Peter Walker & Jim Delaney won their game by 21-10. In the Breckland Five Pairs Thetford are through to the First Round proper after Forncett decided to concede the second leg of their Preliminary Round match after losing the home leg 51-32. Wymondham won the first leg of their tie against Connaught “B” by 74-21.
