Defending SNL champions Hempnall swept Shropham aside to move closer to leaders Diss. Alan Jones, David Blundell & Owen Cranston won 22-7, Colin Stevenson, Bernie Cudden & Paul Baker (pictured) won 21-9, Kerry Greenacre, Joan Cann & Lewis Cranston won 19-8 and Mike Greenacre, Mick Pearce & Gerald Chilvers won 14-9 as they collected a 10-0 maximum win. Diss won 6-4 at home to Hingham with two one shot defeats taking the shine off their victory. Colin Smith, Alan Buckingham & Terry Newby scored the biggest win of the night by 23-5 while Graham Mobbs’ triple added a 16-6 win. But Hingham took four points with Keith Thomas and his triple winning 14-13 and John Chapman’s triple winning 20-19. Bottom of the table Saxlingham will be pleased with a convincing 8-2 home win against Connaught with John Torbitt, Don Linford & Geoff Payne storming to a 26-6 win. Horsford Heroes won 8-2 away to Harling.
