After many years of total domination by Hempnall the South Norfolk League this season shows signs of a real title fight for once. Diss reeled off their eighth win in a row winning 8-2 at Harling and top the table with 63 points from eight games. Second placed Horsford are 17 points behind but have two games in hand. Third placed Connaught lost ground going down 8-2 at Harling where Linda Chilvers, Chris Jones & Nigel Battley won 24-8. Hingham beat Shropham 10-0 with Graham Tweed’s triple winning 19-8. Hempnall are down at sixth in the table but have only played four games so far winning three and losing one.
