Norfolk “A” swept aside Oxfordshire “A” in the semi-finals of the I.C.C Consolation competition played at Solihull winning by an overall 38-10 margin, 194-151 on shots. Norfolk County Manager Simon Willies said after the match that it was a very good performance by the whole team who were in overall control for most of the game. He added it was still a struggle in the fours however the other sessions made up for it. Under this season’s system the Norfolk players designated as the “away” team won by a massive 22-2 score-line. The Norfolk bowlers involved in this half of the match were Will Townsend, John Jeffery, Jean Woods, Steve Hall, Melly Woods, Graham Mobbs, Ray Lamb & Elaine Willies. The Norfolk team playing as the “home” team won their half of the match by 16-8. Those bowlers were David Blundell, Dave Dewing, Tony Ottewell, Jenny Walker, Mike Tate, Terry Newby, Mike Smail & Joy Townsend.
