East Tuddenham recovered from losing both their first half games to claim a 6-4 away win at Hevingham. After starting their Bure League campaign with four straight wins East Tuddenham found themselves 4-0 down at the break as Hevingham won on both mats. Betty Cox, Chris Brooks and David Sharpe were in good form as they beat Chris Willies’ triple 12-8 while Andy Drummie, Teresa Goldsmith & Selwyn Goldsmith beat Robert Howlett’s triple 13-11. But the narrow six shot advantage slipped away in the second half as Chrissie Turner, John Turner & Simon Willies beat Rex Cox and his triple 15-8 and Gillian Amos, Gerald Potter & Robin Amos beat Steve Hall’s triple 19-11. It was a case of déjà vu for the home side after losing by the very same score-line at home to the only other serious title contenders Halvergate seven days previously.
