After finishing in only third place last season in the Tens League Bob Carter are making no mistakes so far this season as they surge ahead at the top of the table. After seven games they remain unbeaten after a big 4-0 away win at Connaught where they scored 76 shots against 32. The slow Connaught mats are in complete contrast to the fast Verde mats that Carter play on at their Drayton venue but this posed them few, if any, problems. Elaine Willies, Steve Bridges (pictured) & Jason Woods scored the night’s biggest win of 23-6 as Carter won all four games and scored maximum points. In the Bure League Halvergate produced a heavy 9-1 away win at Horsford BC. Ray Lamb, Morgan Warnes & Gary Best’s 22-8 win was the games biggest as the home side found themselves outgunned by their title chasing visitors. David Knights, Nigel Willard & Simon Warnes won 19-11, Mike Harvey, Jackie Smith & David Lamb won 18-7 but Keith Cooke’s triple were held to a 16-16 draw by Terry Raisbury’s triple.
