Broome are now only eight points clear at the top of the Waveney League after a tight 5-4 home win against mid table Bradwell. Wortwell moved closer to them with a 7.5 – 1.5 home win against Haddiscoe who are still without a win after eleven matches. Neither Earsham or Carlton have given up the chase yet after Carlton thumped Kessingland 8-1 and Earsham scored the weeks biggest win beating Ilketshall 8.5 – 0.5. In the Coastal Cup Bradwell Acorns achieved two home wins beating Hemsby Beachcombers 10-8 and six days later beating Bradwell Robins 12-6. Martham enjoyed one of their biggest wins of the campaign romping to a 16-2 victory at home to Hemsby Harvesters. Hempnall moved closer to SNL leaders Diss with an 8-2 away win at Connaught. The Cranston lads led the attack with Owen’s triple winning 16-8 and Lewis winning 17-13. Paul Baker’s triple weighed in with a 13-10 win while Sheila Bragg beat Neil Davidson to earn Connaught’s two points. In the Tens League Halvergate scored a maximum 4-0 home win against Connaught with a first half 29-5 win for Donna & David Lamb putting the game out of Connaught’s reach. Robin Amos & Keith Cooke won their pairs game by 20-12 while there were narrow wins for triples skipped by Simon Warnes & Robbie Lamb.
