This week ESMBA I.C.C Secretary Steve Bailey announced the I.C.C schedule for the knock-out rounds. The preliminary round matches will be played on 2nd Feb and Norfolk “A” will play Devon “A” at Solihull. Other preliminary matches that day will be Cheshire V Gloucestershire at Solihull, Devon v Hampshire at Bristol, Hertfordshire v Dorset at Guildford, Greater Manchester v Avon at Bristol and possibly Suffolk v Shropshire which is “subject to cancellation”. Cambridgeshire and Humberside will now go direct into the quarter-finals. No personal food or drinks are allowed at Solihull or Bristol. No bags are to be left in spectator area at the Bristol venue. Mats at Solihull and Bristol will need to be put down and put away with help of all teams on the day of the games as they cannot be put down on the previous evening. Norfolk Premier await the winners of the Devon v Hampshire with the quarter-final tie to be played on the weekend of the 15th & 16th Feb. Norfolk Premier accumulated the most points of any team in the group stages as they topped Group 6 with six straight wins. If Norfolk “A” win their preliminary round tie against Devon “A” they will play East Sussex on 16th Feb. The ESMBA I.C.C Secretary expressed his apologies for the late information on the I.C.C Knock-out round games. He has had to wait on results, and teams dropping out, to complete the draw and arrange best venues for teams.
