Windows moved up to third place in the City of Norwich League when they leap-frogged over First Bus with an 11-3 away win against them. Wendy Cheal, John Wade & Andy Drummie were in sparkling form recording an 18-4 win while Alan Bunn, Alan Cheal & Nigel Hurn won by 14-7. British Rail won for just the second time this season but did so in style beating visitors Costessey 14-0. Carol Johnson, Pat Baker & Caroline Banham won 10-5 and Caroline Banham, Peter Wright & Martin Douglas won by 11-6. Horsford Heroes made it eleven straight wins with a 12-2 away victory at Taverham despite home triple Jean Young, Pat Hall & Richard Moore storming to a 24-3 win against Carol Aggas, David Dewing & Roger Frank. Leading the way for the Heroes were Lynn Frank, Margaret Harman & John Aggas who beat Trevor Winter, David Riches & Marjorie Hall by the night’s biggest margin of 24-2. Horsford’s other winning skips were Chris Woodhouse and the talented David Crosby. In the weeks other league match defending champions Horsford Gold crashed to a 12-2 defeat at Jarrolds where the home side celebrated their third win of the league season. In the City Shield Thorpe Marriott won 7-1 at home to Horsford Blue to progress into the next round. Heroes beat Costessey 6-2.
