On Wednesday Norfolk Over 60’s met at the Clocktower Restaurant at Bowthorpe for their Annual Christmas Meal to celebrate yet another successful year of short mat bowls. After another superb meal Norfolk Over 60’s Captain Steve Easter and Graham Tweed, who looks after the finances of the group, presented Organiser Teresa Goldsmith with a huge basket of fruit and bottles of wine as a thank-you for all her work throughout the year on their behalf. On Thursday Norfolk Over 60’s met at Hingham Sports & Social Club for their final Squad Day before Christmas. Deb Hardy of Hingham Community Cupboard was on hand to thank the Norfolk Over 60’s bowlers for their contributions of food for the Community Cupboard. The group had decided once again not to exchange Christmas cards but instead bring cans of food etc for the Community Cupboard. A presentation was made by Teresa Goldsmith to Cynthia Powell for running the kitchen throughout the year for the Over 60’s group.
