Halvergate won 7-3 away to Hevingham in an entertaining Bure League match that saw three games go down to the last end. The match points were secured for the visitors with a heavy 20-7 win for Kerry Greenacre, Paul Baker & Keith Cooke in the first half but the other games all saw tight finishes. Halvergate’s second win was by 15-11 for Donna Lamb, Steve Hall & Ryan Fox while Halvergate’s Keith Baker, David Crosby & David Lamb drew 11-11 with home triple Nigel James, Lesley Turner & Brian Turner. Hevingham collected an 11-10 win in the remaining game courtesy of Billie Barker, Pat Hall & Richard Moore who scored a single on the last end. Forncett have moved up to second place in the South Norfolk League, level on points with Hempnall, after winning their last two games. Martin Humphrey, Paul Lovett & Mark Watson scored a 37-7 win for Forncett as they collected a maximum ten points at home to Mulbarton. Forncett’s match away to Saxlingham Nethergate proved a much tougher one but they emerged with a 6-4 win after Bryan Preece, Gill Coleman & Tony Ottewell won 19-12 and Ron Butler, Nigel Youngman & Becky Humphrey won 15-11. Winning home skips were Robert Howlett and Steve Potter.
