Horsford Heroes have moved top of the City League. Lesley Crowe’s First Bus triple was the only home triple to win as Horsford Heroes produced a 12-2 away win with Lynn Frank, Margaret Harman & John Aggas leading the way winning their game 14-9. Horsford Gold recovered from their surprise opening match defeat to beat Horsford Blue 14-0 with Christine Bugg, Tim Blackman & John Bugg winning 22-4. Jarrolds will be pleased with a 12-2 home win against Windows with Peter Smart, Roger Hart & David Higgins winning 17-10. Costessey won 10-4 at home to British Rail with Alan Bishop, Malcolm Southgate & Joy Townsend at the forefront winning 19-5. Costessey beat British Rail in the final earlier in the year after defeating Horsford Gold in the semi-final. It was the first time Costessey had won the Shield which has been played for since 2002.
