Away win for Norfolk Over 60's in Cambs

Norfolk Over 60’s earned a 28-20 points lead, 194-193 on shots, in the first leg of their latest two leg challenge match against Cambridgeshire Seniors at March IBC. Norfolk enjoyed a strong start winning the first sessions by 6-2 on points before Cambs won the third session by the same scoreline. Norfolk stretched their lead in session four to 20-12 on points and maintained their eight point lead over the final two sessions which were both drawn. Top Norfolk triple on the day were Pat Hall, Andy George & Tony Ottewell who won their three games by 14-8, 7-5 & 10-2 while triples skipped by George Hume, Bob Oatway, Richard Broad & Selwyn Goldsmith all won two of their three games. As has become almost a tradition now the majority of Norfolk’s players stopped at the superb, and always busy, Arbuckles Restaurant in Downham Market for a celebratory meal on the way home with Norfolk Over 60’s Organiser Teresa Goldsmith.
