The NCSMBA is sad to learn that Sheila Bragg of Hingham SMBC passed away yesterday. Sheila played for several teams over the many years she played short mat bowls and for a long time was a member of the Norfolk County Team Squad and an active member of the Norfolk Over 60’s Squad. Sheila won the Norfolk County Triples title in 2005/6 playing for Connaught with Andrew Stratton & Russell Hales. Sheila was runner-up in 1993/94 with Peter Tuttle & Derek Gaskin and was also runner-up in 2008/9 with Connaught’s Lee Fallows & Russell Hales. Sheila also won the Norfolk County Championship Mixed Fours title in 2007/08 playing with Connaught team mates Andy Stratton & Russell Hales as well as Sue Hunt. Sheila finished as a runner-up in the Norfolk County Fours Championships in both 1993/4 & 1995/6. The NCSMBA sends their condolences to Sheila’s family and friends. There will be a Memorial Service for Sheila Bragg at Attleborough Baptist Church on 11th September at 10.30am.
