The venues and dates have now all been announced for the ESMBA Open Competition events for the 2024/25 season. For the first time Norfolk’s County venue Hingham Sports & Social Club will be one of the venues when the Open Fours will be played there on Saturday 26th October. The Open Pairs will be the first of the season on Saturday 7th September at Melton & District IBC and this is followed by the Open Singles at Solihull IBC on Saturday 12th October. The Open Triples will take place at the Dorset Bowls Resort on Saturday 25th January 2025. A new competition, the Open Over 55 Triples, will be played on Saturday 22nd February at Melton Mowbray. Entry details can be found on the ESMBA website. On Sunday 27th October Norfolk Over 60’s will play a challenge match at Hingham Sports & Social Club against an England Under 21 side managed by Brian Baker.
