Horsford Gold are City of Norwich League champions again after an 11-3 away win at First Bus in their top of the table clash. Leaders Horsford Gold started the match with a more than comfortable 44 point lead over second placed First Bus but the result leaves them mathematically certain of retaining the title. The battle is still on for second place and Costessey improved their chances with a 10-4 home win against Horsford Heroes. Costessey are still 12 points adrift of First Bus but have two games in hand in a league where it is possible to gain 14 points for a win on all four mats. This week’s other two City League games involved teams at the other end of the table. In a match between the two bottom clubs British Rail lost 12-2 at Windows but fared far better at Horsford Blue where they celebrated a 10-4 win.
