The Norfolk County Pairs Final saw a father and daughter battle with Morgan Warnes and Simon Warnes starting at lead in their respective pairs. Morgan Warnes & Gary Best of Bob Carter, who previously won the title in 2019-2020, faced Simon Warnes of Wymondham and Karl Newby of Carleton Rode. From the first end Morgan Warnes found line and length and that proved to be the story of this final as she dominated proceedings. Skip Gary Best is well known for his spectacular attacking play but he had no need for too many heroics in this encounter as the opposition found themselves struggling to match Morgan’s consistency. Simon and Karl tried switching playing positions in an attempt to get back into the game but to no avail as the Bob Carter pairing achieved a 10-2 win with an end to spare. In the third place play-off defending champions Jason Woods of Bob Carter and Chris Willies of East Tuddenham were up against Halvergate’s father and son combo Ray Lamb & Robbie Lamb. A close fought match saw them tied at 7-7 with one end remaining and the Halvergate pair took a single to win 8-7. In the semi-finals Morgan Warnes & Gary Best stormed to a 16-0 win against Ray & Robbie Lamb, while defending champions Jason Woods & Chris Willies went down by 10-6 against Simon Warnes & Karl Newby. The quarter-finals saw 2017-2018 champions Owen Cranston & Chris Mann eliminated losing 8-7 to Ray & Robbie Lamb. Halvergate's other father and son pairing of David Lamb & Ryan Fox suffered a heavy 13-4 defeat to Simon Warnes & Karl Newby. Thetford's Peter Harvey & Jason Martin also suffered a heavy defeat losing 13-2 against Jason Woods & Chris Willies. Neil Davidson and Trevor Brown held a narrow lead against Morgan Warnes & Gary Best for much of their quarter-final encounter but dropped two shots on the last end to lose 7-6. The Presentations were made by NCSMBA Vice-President Bob Oatway.
