Newly appointed Norfolk County Team Manager Jack Pye held his first Trials Day at Hingham Sports & Social Club in preparation for the 2022/23 Inter-County Championship season. Norfolk has again entered both a Premier team and an “A” team into the competition. Jack was assisted on the day by the new Assistant County Team Manager Chris Willies and by Gary Best who is not only returning to the squad but has also been selected as Premier Team Captain by Jack Pye. 45 trialists took to the mats and they were a mixture of youth, seasoned county team players and also a number returning after a period away from the sport and county bowls. Jack Pye is yet to decide on who will fill the role of “A” Team captain and will finalise his squad by July.
