With title chasing Horsford Gold and Thorpe Marriott not playing it was left to teams lower in the City of Norwich League to provide the excitement this week. A tight game at Taverham saw the home side lose 9-5 against Windows with only two shots separating the two teams. Mid table Costessey restricted visitors Jarrolds to just 13 shots as they racked up a 14-0 points win, 78-13 on shots. Earlier in the season both Horsford Blue and Windows had finished City League games with only 16 shots each but Jarrolds failed to reach even that total at Costessey. Bottom club Horsford Blue had only won one match out of fourteen this season but this week added a second victory winning 12-2 at home to British Rail. Horsford Gold remain top of the table with 155 points while second placed Thorpe Marriott are on 135 but with two games in hand.
