Steve McAlister names teams for match against Wales

New England Manager Steve McAlister has named his teams for a match against Wales on 20th & 21st November in Dorset. Obviously many eyes will be on his selected sides for clues as to his plans for the British Isles Championships which will take place at Scarborough IBC at the end of January 2022. Five Norfolk bowlers have been selected for the match with Wymondham’s Jack Pye and East Tuddenham’s Chris Willies playing for England Premier while Jason Woods of Bob Carter, David Lamb of Halvergate and Simon Willies of East Tuddenham playing for England “A”. After a long period of below par results by England in the British Isles Championships the appointment of McAlister, a legendary figure in short mat bowls, has raised hopes that he can inject a winning mentality into the side and finally challenge the unparalleled success of the Irish. The one thing that you can be sure of with McAlister is that he will give 100% effort to achieve success for his team.
