Woodbastwick Owls have retained the Coastal Cup with two games to spare after a thumping 18-0 home win in their top of the table showdown against Bradwell Dynamos. A big win for Dynamos would have caused the Owls to keep the Champaign on ice but instead the defending champions ran away with the match and kept the cup firmly in the possession of the picture postcard Norfolk village bowls team. In their previous match Woodbastwick Owls had demonstrated their determination to keep the trophy as they beat Martham 16-2. Other games saw Woodbastwick Eagles beat Hemsby Beachcombers 15-3 while Bradwell Robins were awarded the points for their home match against Martham after a mix-up about the venue of the match.
