Following the conclusion of all Norfolk County Championship events for the season the NCSMBA has published the updated Norfolk Points Table. The Top 15 will automatically receive a Norfolk County Squad invitation for the 2019/20 season following changes made to the system by the NCSMBA Management Committee. These changes included the number of points allocated in each event. Chris Mann of Wymondham claims the number one position in the Norfolk rankings after a hugely successful season in which he finally clinched the Norfolk County Singles crown and he swops places with Bob Carter’s Gary Best who slips down from the top spot to number two. East Tuddenham’s Simon Willies is the biggest mover in the top 10 going from last year’s tenth place up to third while Halvergate’s David Lamb remains fourth. Wymondham’s Jon Sparham moves up from eleven to number five while Neil Davidson of Hempnall slips three places to sixth. Halvergate’s Keith Cooke moves down from fifth to seventh. Simon Warnes of Horsford BC is up from fourteenth to eighth. Debbie Sparham of Wymondham stops the men from completely dominating the top ten as she claims ninth place, up from last year’s twelfth position. The top ten is completed by Bob Carter’s Nigel Willard who was number eight last year. Bob Carter’s Melly Woods is eleventh, two places up on last season, while Laura Hawksworth of Deaf Sports has rocketed up the rankings sixteen places to number twelve courtesy of her Norfolk Pairs success. Wymondham’s Jack Pye has fallen from eighth to thirteenth while Morgan Warnes of Horsford BC moves up five places to fourteenth. The last County Squad qualifying place goes to Steve Easter of Wymondham who has also moved up five places. Just missing out on a top 15 finish are Jason Woods of Bob Carter, Jack Marshall of Wymondham and Jamie Forster of Bob Carter.
