As expected Bob Carter clinched their place in the Summer Cup Final with an away win at Halvergate. They went into the tie leading 8-0 on points from the first leg at Drayton and a 16-14 win for John Turner, Jason Woods & David Lamb against Ryan Fox, Morgan Warnes & Robbie Lamb in the first half settled the tie. Halvergate’s Josh Baxter, Ray Lamb & Keith Cooke beat Nigel Willard, Simon Willies & Melly Woods 15-10 in the other first half game to earn what would prove to be Halvergate’s only points in the two leg semi-final. After the break Carter completed a 6-2 points win on the night, 14-2 on aggregate, as John Turner, Jason Woods & David Lamb won 17-10 and Nigel Willard, Simon Willies & Melly Woods won 22-16. The Summer Cup Final between Bob Carter and Wymondham will be played on Monday 10th September at St Faiths with a 7.30pm start, spectators are welcome for what should prove to be an excellent final. England & Norfolk's David Lamb, pictured, is expected to be one of Bob Carter's key players on the night.
