Summer Cup action saw Wymondham end Hingham’s interest in the cup with an emphatic 8-0 home win on points and 103-24 on shots. Mary Fisher, Mark Linsdell & Jack Pye opened with a 38-3 win against Pauline Wilson’s triple in which they scored two sixes and two fives. With Hayley Stratton subbing for Mary Fisher after the break they won their second game 22-6. Roger Steele, John Jeffery and Chris Mann were also in top form scoring three fours in their match against Wendy Tweed, Graham Tweed and Keith Thomas which they won by 23-9 win. In their second game Mann’s triple recorded a 20-6 win. Shropham pulled off a surprise 5-3 win at Forncett after a tight first half saw Jim Delaney’s triple win 14-11 and Richard Broad’s triple earn a 12-12 draw to give Shropham a 3-1 half time lead on points. Broad’s triple saw Shropham safely into the quarter-finals with a 15-11 win after the break where they will entertain Wymondham.
