In the Breckland League defending champions Wymondham won by just one shot at Carleton Rode despite winning on three of the four mats. The visitors achieved three tight wins with Jack Pye’s triple winning 15-13, Chris Mann winning 14-11 and Jon Sparham winning 14-10. Karl Bunn, Debbie Bunn & Karl Newby came close to snatching the match points for Carleton Rode as they beat Hayley Osborne, Trevor Brown & Debbie Sparham by 20-12 and Wymondham were relieved to leave the Rode with an 8-2 points win. Harling Griffins scored a 7-3 home win against Thetford where Jean Deathridge, Jill Hayman & Sid Burton won 18-6 while George Hume’s triple added a 15-11 win. Thetford’s three league points came courtesy of a 17-11 win by Neil Thomas, Peter Scarborough & Clive Eke with Chloe Suffolk’s triple drawing 16-16 with Harling’s Colin Hayman.
