Thetford SMBC are Summer Afternoon League champions after finishing 15 points clear of runners-up Banham. In their last match of the season they achieved an 8-2 home win against visitors Hingham. Caralyn Walker, Kacy Suffolk & Chloe Suffolk led the way with a resounding 21-11 win against John Chapman’s triple while Peter Scarborough and Neil Thomas skipped the other winning Thetford triples. That clinched the title for Thetford and Banham went on to lose their last match of the season 8-2 at Hingham but the title was already out of their reach by then.
