In the top of the table match in the Breckland League leaders Wymondham won 10-0 at home to second placed Harling Griffins. Billie Barker, Trevor Brown & Debs Sparham won 36-5, Jon Sparham, Simon Warnes & Jack Pye won 30-5, Steve Easter, Melvyn Barker & AJ Brown won 30-4 and Mary Fisher, John Jeffery & Chris Mann won 18-15.
Thetford moved 11 points clear at the top of the Winter Afternoon League after a 9-1 away win at Shropham Green followed by an 8-2 away win at Harling. Carolyn Walker, Peter Harvey & Jason Martin pulled off a 17-10 win against George Cody’s triple at Harling while Kacy Suffolk won 14-11 and Neil Thomas won 12-11. These results followed a surprise 7-3 home defeat at the hands of Shropham Red. Moira Stevens, Ann Boyes & Elaine Aberdeen beat Thetford’s Jason Martin triple 15-11 while Andy Rawnsley’s triple won 15-11 as well.
Halvergate improved their chances of retaining the Bure League title with a 6-4 away win at rivals East Tuddenham. Ray Lamb, Keith Baker & Keith Cooke led the way with an 18-8 win against Robert Howlett’s triple while Donna Lamb, Steve Hall & Ryan Fox beat Trevor Brown’s triple 15-9. Winning skips for the home side were Chris Willies & Robin Amos.
Horsford Gold look well on their way to retaining the City of Norwich League title after a 12-2 away win at British Rail. Thorpe Marriott won 11-3 at British Rail to stay second in the table.
Forncett are pushing leaders Hempnall hard in the South Norfolk League. In their top of the table clash they won 6-4 at Hempnall winning the match by just one shot. Martin Humphries, Gill Coleman & Becky Humphries won for Forncett by 16-6 and Ron Butler, Linda Preece & Bryan Preece won by 14-9. Forncett also collected maximum points at home to Connaught.
Bradwell Dynamos won 13-5 away to Bradwell Robins and now lead the Coastal Cup table by 32 points after six straight wins.
