Costessey top the City League this week after defeating British Rail 12-2. The biggest win of the night was a 23-7 result by Costessey’s Eugene Gilliam, Alan Bishop & John Chapman as the home side collected their second win of the campaign, The other three games were all quite close but wins for Joy Townsend and Mike Ottaway secured Costessey’s 12-2 home win. Mark Tuttle’s triple won 16-11, Paul Brock’s triple won 17-12 and Andy Drummie won 11-10 as Windows won 12-2 at home to Taverham. The away sides only win of 8-6 was secured by Chris Pitcher’s triple. Jarrolds won 12-2 at home to Horsford Blue with Terry Rose, David Snodgrass & David Higgins winning by 13-4.

Horsford won 8-2 at home to Connaught in the SNL with Derek Gaskin, Sue Fox & David Crosby cruising to a 20-6 win. Connaught fared better away to Mulbarton where they achieved an 8-2 away win with Mike Minshull, Bob Oatway & Roy Taylor winning 23-6. Mulbarton also lost at Hingham where the home side collected a maximum 10-0 win with Peter Gibbings, Cynthia Powell & Mike White winning 22-8.
