Wortwell had a double celebration at Monday’s roll up with presentations going to two long standing members. David Beaumont reached the milestone of being 90 and George Rusted was recognised for serving the club as its Chairman for 17 years. Both received Honorary Life Memberships. A most appropriate birthday cake was enjoyed marking the occasion for David whilst George had earlier received a bottle of his favourite tipple for his services to the club. And before anyone asks, they are both still playing.
