With one match still to play Halvergate are on the verge of retaining the Bure League title. Their 10-0 away win at Horsford BC takes them ten points clear of second placed East Tuddenham who are still to visit Halvergate in what will be a championship decider. The likelihood of East Tuddenham snatching the title is minimal though because of the superior shot difference held by the defending champions. Tuddenham would not only need to beat Halvergate 10-0 but would also need to outscore them by 89 shots on the night. Tuddenham’s best hope was that Horsford BC could take at least a point off Halvergate last night so that a straight 10-0 win in their remaining fixture would see them pip them for the title but it was not to be. Halvergate’s Mike Greenacre, David Crosby & Jason Woods trailed their opposing Horsford triple by 7-0 at one point but fought back to win their game 12-9. The other three games saw Halvergate’s triples score comfortable wins, Keith Cooke won 22-10, David Lamb won 25-5 and Robbie Lamb won by 23-11.
