The NCSMBA is saddened to learn of the passing of David Walker of Windows SMBC. David had been a member of Windows, formerly Anglian Windows, for many, many years and will be greatly missed. David was also a regular competitor in the Potters Cup at Potters Resort and a member of the Norfolk Over 60’s with who he went on the North Yorks Weekend a couple of years ago and when the photo shown was taken. If the truth is told David’s warm and humorous personality meant that the social side of short mat bowls, and the many laughs he shared with us all, was what David loved the most and is the reason he was so well thought of by everyone he knew in the sport. The NCSMBA sends their sincere condolences to Averil and their family. The funeral will take place at Sprowston Church on the 13th October at 11.30am. This will be followed by a private cremation. All bowlers are welcome at the funeral and at the Old Rectory in Crostwick afterwards. Family flowers only but donations may be made to either the Zipper Club or Big “C”.
